Thanksgiving is filled with wonderful winter harvest foods. As I made my preparations for a Facebook Live segment with the local FOX affiliate, KFOX-TV, I decided to get back to the simple basics and made these yummy carrots. This side dish is very simple to make and is packed with flavor. The carrots are slow roasted in the oven and then sautéed to a crisp on the stove. They are not your basic sugary carrots they are infused with Crown Royal Black Canadian Whiskey which is a nice robust and full-bodied whiskey. I married it with the warm hints of organic maple syrup. The combination of these specific ingredients packs these carrots with a nice crisp sweet winter crunch.
